Omaha Wedding Photography | Angie and Brandon Married!

Angie and Brandon first met on a blind movie date in March of 2011 - courtesy of Angie's sister Laura. Defying the odds of the typical blind date, Brandon and Angie hit it off spectacularly and at the end of the night, Brandon smoothly took Angie's hand into his and whispered if he could have her number. Being in the military, Brandon was soon told that he'd have to be deployed to Korea. Admittedly bull-headed and stubborn at times, Brandon knew he'd be stupid to let such an amazing girl get away and it was also at that time that Angie realized that her supportive, caring stud in uniform was the man she wanted to be with for the rest of her life.

Omaha Wedding Photography | Chris and Natalie Engaged

"Natalie," Chris began, dropping down on one knee, "would you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?"

With a big grin on her face, Natalie looked into Chris' eyes - "Duh!"

Although Chris and Natalie had known about each other through mutual friends, it took some liquid courage at a house party before the two finally introduced themselves. Conveniently, Natalie's ride home left her stranded, so, like a gentleman, Chris offered to take her home.

Chris has an incredible patience and understanding about him. Even in the roughest of times, Chris is always that much-needed emotional rock, ever ready to help to lighten the situation with his witty (or not-so-witty) analogies. Natalie has a very loving and fun personality - she even busts out a random British or Russian accent from time to time!

For their engagement shoot, Chris and Natalie really wanted to showcase their love for the outdoors. The random meadow of dandelions proved to be a lucky find as we drove to Natalie's family's house. Despite having a very angry bird who hovered over us throughout the entire shoot, we were able to quickly get some great images without any bombing-run souvenirs!

Omaha Wedding Photography | Joe and Emily Davis

In the chill of March, thousands awaited to see the victor of the acclaimed MVC Championship. Among the two were Creighton Bluejay fans, Joe and Emily. One morning, an unsuspecting Emily was asked by her boyfriend, Joe, to go on a simple coffee-run. The sights of St. Louis were absolutely beautiful and Joe suggested that the two should take a stroll in Gateway Arch Park overlooking the Mississipi. While on their walk, Emily turned to ask Joe a question and found him on bended knee beside her. Joe, with that massive, boyish grin on his face, produced a box with a Blue Jay necklace. "I told you that I'd never buy you jewelry until the real thing," he chuckled producing the ring. With such a handsome man in front of her, there was no way Emily was saying no, through smiles of her own, she said "Yes". Joe and Emily's wedding wasn't without it's curveballs - missing belts and rainy weather to name a few - but the mood was easily overshadowed by laughter and easy smiles. A wet knot is harder to break.

Omaha Wedding Photography | Jake and Kelsey Engagement

Through thick and thin, true love seems to have a way of beating the odds and overcoming the most ridiculous of obstacles, a saying that could not hold more true than for Jake and Kelsey. Due to his advanced military training and education, over the last year and a half, the two have only been able to spend a total of five weeks with each other. Even when Jake is scheduled to come home, his request may be denied at a moment's notice. For many couples, the stress, anxiety and lonliness would have proved to be too great to endure such a prolonged bout of separation, but for Jake and Kelsey, this is merely a bump in the road.

Kelsey and Jake's story first started eight years ago when the two were introduced by mutual friends at Buffalo Wild Wings. They didn't talk much during their first meeting, and although Kelsey took Jake's breath away, he sat back and watched the strike one. Fate would give them a second meet-cute a few nights later at a local dance club. They shared some laughs and even a couple dances, but once again, the shyness in Jake left him at strike two. Fortunately, it's never over until it's over, and a few weeks later at the College World Series, Jake spied Kelsey working at the bar. After a few deep breaths, Jake walked over asked for her number. There's nothing worse than a backward K, and there's nothing better than hitting a homerun with two strikes on the board. Going against all odds - Jake and Kelsey.
