Omaha Wedding Photography | Josh and Heather Married!

If you've ever been to San Francisco, you'll know that other than the Giants, the 49ers and Alcatraz, one of the biggest draws to the city are the bread bowls. The chill of the sea breeze hitting your face and the smell of the salty air can work up a pretty big appetite, and what better to fill your stomach than the famous Boudin bakery. Take one freshly-baked Sourdough loaf and gently ladle in the rich, warm clam chowder (I definitely prefer this to chili), and after one bite, I guarantee that it will be impossible to not completely fall in love.

Sometimes you stumble upon a pairing so perfect that any thought of an alternative would be a crime. The same could be said about Josh and Heather. Right after the ceremony, alone in a side-room of the church, I was lucky enough to witness a private, intimate moment between the newly married couple. The way that they smiled at each other was so real and infectious that even thinking about it now makes me smile. Some things in life are simply meant to complement each other. Breadbowls and Chowder. 49ers and Joe Montana. Josh and Heather, just to name a few.

Omaha Wedding Photography | Scott and Shantell Engagement

The Joslyn Castle is an iconic Omaha landmark that has stood the test of time for over a hundred years. Built shortly after the turn of the 20th Century, the Joslyn features a very unique type of architecture often found during the Baronial period of Scotland. When passing through the Dundee area, one might stop to marvel at the beauty of this grandiose, yet slightly out of place five-and-a-half acre property in the heart of Omaha, just minutes from Downtown.

However, the same could be said for Scott and Shantell. They may not have been together for quite as long as the Castle has been in existence, but the beauty and unique-ness of their relationship is something that simply cannot be overlooked. While many couples awkwardly dabbled through their first set of movie or bowling dates, Scott and Shantell jumped right into a handful of D.I.Y. projects - working on a porch, a shed, and a fence. From these undertakings, Scott and Shantell have been able to develop a wonderful connection that, like the Joslyn, really does look to stand the test of time. From the way Scott gently nuzzles into her neck to the way Shantell gazes back into his eyes, their affection for each other truly paints a vibrant picture of how in love these two are.

Omaha Wedding Photography | Pat and Jody

When most people speak about their 'High School Romances', they often reflect on temporary flings, bad decisions, or on a time of fluctuating hormones in the ever-so-typical drama cycle of Rydell High - I still can't look at John Travolta the same way. But for some fortunate couples, the good times of first kisses, hall passes, and Varsity Letterman-jackets are accompanied with smiles and laughs as they reflect on them together.

The story of Pat and Jody starts in High School. After an initial romance, they decided to part ways, never once imagining that they would ever look at each other in the same way. Twenty-five years and a couple kids later, both Pat and Jody were once again single. But unlike many others, the closing of one door opened another. By a sneaky arrangement from Pat's sister, Connie, Jody and Pat were set-up on a second-first date at an Omaha hockey game and as the fire rekindled, the pair have been inseparable since. Love would not give on its second chance, and as Pat's sister toasted, "this was truly a love story in the making".
